Edge has appointed Dr. Bob “Dee” Dokhanchi as fractional chief operating officer of its dental division. The company stated that Dokhanchi brings experience as a business operations executive, dentist of 33 years, and entrepreneur, as well as his background as an existing Edge investor and long-time Board of Advisors member.

According to the announcement, Dokhanchi will guide the development of Edge’s Dental Workforce Playbooks, standardized training, and practice-ready onboarding programs. The company stated that these initiatives are intended to ensure that Edge team members are trained on the systems, workflows, and compliance standards used inside modern dental practices. Edge noted that his work will support the plan to deploy more than 1,000 Edge Talent into dental offices over the next two years.

Dokhanchi will continue his work with Dentistry in General, described as a platform and online community for dentists and dental students. The release states that his opinions expressed as an advocate, consultant, and journalist are independent of his role with Edge. He will also continue as owner of and a practicing dentist at Fox Valley Dental Care Aurora.
