Dandy has launched its Fusion Denture line, which combines digital design and manufacturing with hand-finished acrylic in a workflow for producing removable prosthetics. According to the company, each restoration begins with a digital impression captured using the Dandy Vision intraoral scanner. Dandy technicians then work with the dentist to finalize and approve the design through the company's online visual workspace. The base is manufactured using robotics and artificial intelligence, followed by the addition of hand-poured acrylic.
“We’ve evolved beyond 3D,” said Cong Yu, Dandy head of engineering. “Dandy Fusion™ offers durability and realism that other methods can't match. It completely changes what clinicians and patients can expect from a denture.”
The Fusion family includes full dentures, flexible partials, overdentures, and a metal mesh option scheduled to become available in the fourth quarter of 2026. Flexible partials are made with Valplast or Duraflex material and do not have visible clasps. Overdentures are designed to fit over retained tooth roots or implants and can be removable or implant-retained. The metal mesh option is intended to add strength to full dentures.
According to Dandy, Fusion Dentures are designed to accommodate relines and repairs, while the digital impression creates a record that can be used for reorders. The company states that its digital workflow can produce dentures in two appointments with a five-day turnaround, or six days for partial dentures.
“The strength and the aesthetics of Dandy Fusion™ come through in a way 3D-printed never did. I’m not burning time on minor adjustments anymore because the fit comes in so precise,” said Chrislyn Fite, DDS, of Brighten Dental. “I’m so comfortable with Dandy Fusion™ now that I’m making substantially more dentures, and other dentists send me their frustrated denture patients because I’ll take them on.”
The Fusion launch follows Dandy’s introduction of Polychromatic Shade, a robotic technique used to stain and glaze zirconia restorations. According to the company, the technique applies staining and glazing with micron-level accuracy.
“Our mission is to make the premium standard of dental care the default standard,” said Daniel Hanover, Dandy cofounder. “Dandy Fusion™ is the first denture to deliver affordability without compromise. For the vast majority of cases, there's no reason to choose 3D anymore. Fusion™ is the clinically superior way to give patients dignity, confidence, and trust in the fit.”
Dandy Fusion Dentures are available through the company’s Chairside platform.
